Furnace Replacement & Installation in Whittier
Gas furnace replacement done right — or an honest conversation about whether a heat pump conversion makes more sense for your home.
What to know in Whittier
Whittier furnace replacements span gravity-furnace retirements to modern swaps — evidence-first verdicts, code-correct successors.
Set against the Puente Hills, Whittier runs genuinely hot in summer — inland heat without OC's coastal relief — so cooling capacity and duct condition matter as much here as anywhere we serve.
The Whittier housing picture
Whittier pairs historic Uptown Craftsman and mid-century hillside homes with vast 1950s-60s flatland tracts — plus upscale Friendly Hills estates. Original gravity furnaces, add-on AC from multiple decades, and duct runs threaded through old construction make equipment archaeology a real part of service calls here. That housing reality shapes how we approach furnace replacement & installation here — the equipment eras we expect to find, the duct conditions behind the walls, and the failure patterns that repeat across Whittier's neighborhoods.

Condemn with evidence, replace with a load calc, and offer the conversion math
Furnace replacement starts one step earlier than most companies admit: proving the old one is actually done. If a cracked heat exchanger is the verdict, you'll see the camera images and CO readings — never just a verbal condemnation minutes before a quote. When replacement is genuinely warranted, sizing comes from a real load calculation, venting and gas work get done to code rather than to schedule, and we'll put the heat pump conversion beside the furnace quote with honest numbers, because Orange County's mild winters and current rebates make that comparison worth thirty minutes of your time. Choose either path and it gets installed like we'll be servicing it for the next fifteen years — because we will be.
